2021 Financial Highlights:

As with all nonprofits, the past year was a difficult one in terms of fundraising:

• We were unable to hold our biannual book sales and the Books in Bloom event
• Although we were able to hold two pop-up book sales that raised more than $3,000
• The generosity of our members compensated for this with more than $12,500 in annual appeal donations, more than twice what we have received in the past
• Membership dues were also up about 15%, and donations in general were up 18%

This generosity allowed us to continue to support the many library programs the Friends funds annually including on-line services and adult, teen, and children’s programs which were creatively adapted by library staff to provide remote activities
